From Galway:  Take the M6 for Dublin. Leave the M6 at Exit 16. Follow signs for Loughrea through 2 roundabouts. After 150m, turn right for Bookeen (L3114). Continue for 1.5km, turn right at the Bookeen junction. Passing a church, turn left after 200m following a sign for Craughwell. Now continue for approx. 1.5km to the Five Road Junction. Take the first left following the sign C7181. Go straight on and follow the sign for Dunsandle Castle.

From Dublin:  Take the M6 for Galway. Go through the Ballinasloe (2nd) toll and continue for 16kms. Leave the M6 at exit 16. At the roundabout take the second exit following the sign for N65 (Loughrea / Portumna).
